CSR & Sustainability


The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to communicate NOMI’s approach to supply chain management and to highlight the importance that we place on Corporate Social Responsibility.  

NOMI, its staff and its directors are committed to the highest ethical, environmental, safety and quality standards.

NOMI, together with our suppliers, promotes Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) conscious procurement activities such as the protection of the global environment; compliance with laws and regulations; respect for human rights, labour, health and safety; safe and quality of products and services; and promotion of information security, fair trade and corporate ethics based on internationally recognized standards such as the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact.

NOMI’s standards, in regards to our CSR,  is also applicable to all our suppliers of goods and services as it concerns their responsibilities towards stakeholders and the environment.

NOMI conducts business in a manner that is consistent with these principles and requires the same level of compliance and behaviour from all suppliers subject to the applicable laws, rules and regulations of the countries where the business is carried out.

NOMI has established the following principles for compliance by our suppliers.

1. Human Rights, Labour, Health and SafetyWe respect individuals’ human rights and do not unfairly discriminate against people based on race, colour, religion, creed, sex, social status, and physical or mental disability, and we do not engage in human rights abuses such as sexual harassment. Also, we do not induce anybody to infringe such human rights. We establish comfortable work environments for the security and health of our employees. We do not use child labour or any form of forced or compulsory labour. We respect the rights to freedom of association of employees according to the applicable laws in the countries in which business is conducted.
2. Global Environment- We have internal staff focused on the environmental management
- We minimise packaging were possible.
- We use FSC sustainability harvested timber
We control chemical substances contained in products and/or used in manufacturing processes. We provide products and services that involve a minimum environmental load.
3. Fair Trade and Corporate Ethics- We promote fair and free competition and do not engage in any illicit trade.
- Confidential Information: We maintain and promote proper handling of confidential information, including third parties’ confidential and personal information.
- Intellectual Property: We strive to respect the intellectual property of others, understanding the role that intellectual property plays as an important resource to underpin organizations’ business activities.
- Prohibition of Bribes: We do not tolerate corruption in any form, comply with all applicable anti- corruption laws and regulations including bribery and extortion, including but not limited to: the United States Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977, the UK Bribery Act of 2010; and the OECD Convention, nor do we allow anyone acting on our behalf to engage in such conduct.
- Conflict Minerals: We strive to ensure supply chain transparency and to conduct responsible procurement of minerals
4. Compliance with Laws and RegulationsWe comply with applicable laws, regulations and accepted social practices governing our local and global businesses.
5. Safety and Quality of Products and ServicesWe maintain high standards of safety and quality in our products and services
6. Information SecurityWe maintain and promote information security in order to properly protect our own information and information systems and those of third parties.
7. Commitment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businessesWe proactively seek to procure products and services from suppliers that are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander owned, managed and controlled. With this we aim to generate value within our supply chain, increase opportunities for suppliers who have traditionally been under-represented in our community and meet Australia Government requirements.

Commitment to NOMI Supplier Code of Conduct for CSR and Principles

As a supplier to NOMI, the Company whose details are set out below confirms it has read the NOMI Supplier Code of Conduct for Corporate Social Responsibility Principles (“Principles”) and confirms its business activities are conducted in accordance with the Principles set out above and it will continue to comply with these Principles.

The Company will provide NOMI upon request with a written self-assessment of compliance with the Principles, as required by NOMI from time to time, within a reasonable time after receiving such a request.

In the event that NOMI has reasonable grounds for believing that the Company is in breach of the NOMI Supplier Code of Conduct for CSR or Principles, the Company agrees that NOMI may conduct a check on its compliance with the NOMI Supplier Code of Conduct for CSR or the Principles, for the purpose of verifying our compliance. We shall provide all reasonable assistance.

We confirm that we will seek from our suppliers and their suppliers to meet the Principles and requirements of this NOMI Supplier Code of Conduct for CSR. We confirm that we will forward a copy of the NOMI Supplier Code of Conduct for CSR and the Principles to our suppliers. We will obtain agreement to comply with its Principles, from any of our suppliers, and where applicable their suppliers, who are performing services for or working on behalf of NOMI.
